May Update

The Melody Makers Ladies Choir have been busy in May, two concerts, a carnival and a get together at Emily’s.  Many thanks to Emily for hosting a lovely buffet evening.

Our first concert to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday at Wood St Church on 6th May was a great success, 33 members of the choir entertained an audience of over a 100, everyone enjoyed a toast to her Majesty and much flag waving and cheering ensued as well as raising over £600 split between the Melody Makers and the Church.  The Melody Makers supported the charity Music and the Deaf, thank you to all who attended the charity were most grateful for our support.

The following week The Melody Makers supported the Royal Naval Men’s Choir at Northgate Methodist Church Warwick in aid of the Bloodwise Charity, again raising £600 for blood cancer research.

30.5.16 The Melody Makers took part in the Carnival procession, the theme this year was Disney,  we chose the film Mary Poppins, lots of sweet Sweeps and 2 Mary Poppins walked round and a great big thank you for no rain!

Mary Poppins here we come!
